Exploring Different Hairstyles For Women

Posted by

Women pretty much love their hair. After all, it’s considered their crowning glory. That’s why they make sure that they take good care of it. Another fact that makes almost every girl adore her hair is that it can be experimented with different hairstyles. It’s natural for women to explore and sport various haircuts. Perhaps an average woman can have more than a dozen hairdos in her lifetime if she wanted to. But there are several ladies who don’t want their tresses messed up and just prefer a single hairstyle. That’s their choice.

But if you were to be asked about getting various styles of hair every now and then and agree to it, here are some of the haircuts that you can try or perhaps you have already tried:

Braided hairstyles

The braided hairstyles are what some women stick to or at least try once in a while especially if there’s a special event or something. A braid is quite a complicated pattern because it involves the intertwining of three or more hair strands. But this complexity made it more interesting and that’s why a lot of women love to do braided hairstyles. As if it’s not complex already, there are still other things that a woman can do with her braided hair. There’s the ponytail braid. There’s the messy and loose braid. There’s also that headband braid. Some go for small braids, side braid, fishtail braid and Dutch braid.

Bangs/fringe hair

The fringe type of haircut is one of the many popular hairstyles especially for the girls. This is where the term “bangs” is associated with. Fringe refers to the shaped cutting of that front portion of your hair. What you do is you comb it forward and let it hang over your forehead. You can also curl it if you want to or sweep it to one particular side or the other. Don’t you know that there are various fringe hairstyles as well? Perhaps you are familiar with the sideswept fringe. How about the pin-up bangs? Other types include choppy fringe, parted fringe and the classic straight fringe.

Pigtails & ponytail

Other hairstyles that you can explore are the ponytail and the pigtails. With a ponytail, you pull away all your hair to the back of your head and securing it there with a clip, hair tie or something like that and you just let it hang there freely like a pony’s tail, thus the term “ponytail”. Pigtails, on the other hand, are considered two ponytails on those opposite sides of your head. These particular hairstyles of women are both considered classic and simple because you can do it all on your own and in just a matter of minutes.

Long hair

But perhaps the most basic of all the hairstyles is that plain long hair. The concept here is that you just grow your hair to a certain length, usually below the shoulders, and let it hang loose there. However, various cultures can classify or define long hair very differently. For instance, some cultures may believe that shoulder-length hair is already a long hair while others may not.

Other great hairstyles that you can explore include the pixie cut, bob cut, Afro, Hime cut and more. Be sure you are comfortable when sporting different hairdos. You also have to keep in mind that there are haircuts that won’t work for certain individuals.
